Party Bus FC Storm To The Sheffield Ladies Championship Title – Winter 09/10

Thursday 18th March saw Party Bus FC crowned Championship winners and gain promotion to the Premiership. They will be joined in the big time by runners up Socrates Old Girls.
Party Bus FC, led by captain Katherine Clark, completed a sensational season, which saw them win the title by eleven clear points. Not only did Party Bus FC sweep the opposition aside, but they also swept a number of records aside. They fired in 180 goals - a new division record and uniquely they now hold both the Premiership and Championship goals scored records. Jodie Hancock ended the season on 59 goals, again a new division record and the eighth best all time record. The team also recorded the biggest win ever in The Sheffield Ladies League by beating Braunettes by 28 goals to nil. With this kind of firepower, the team will no doubt be a force in the Premiership next season.
Party Bus FC - Championship Winners!
Led by Paula Higgins, Socrates Old Girls finished a great season by clinching the final promotion spot, nine points clear of their nearest rival. It represents the team’s first honour in the four seasons they have competed in the league. The team will feel they are well equipped for the Premiership challenge and will be looking to establish themselves as a top flight team next season. Hardly Athletic, Gems and Sheffield Screamers finished some way off the pace this season, but all will feel they can mount a serious promotion push next season.
Socrates Old Girls - Premiership Bound!
The golden boot was won in record breaking style by Party Bus’ Jodie Hancock. Team mate Katherine Clark was joint second with Socrates Old Girls captain Paula Higgins.
The golden glove completed a clean sweep for Party Bus as they won the award with a record of 21 goals conceded.
