The Sheffield Netball League Launches!

Last night (21st February) saw the launch and opening matches of the first season of The Sheffield Netball League. Eight teams will battle it out over the next 14 weeks to see who will be crowned Sheffield Netball champions!
In a fantastic opening match Team X edged past Court Out 16-10 in a hotly contested game. The next two matches saw Braunettes and Kiveton Surgery set out their intentions for the season with impressive victories and both look like real title contenders! Braunettes running out 32-5 winners against the unlucky GQNT and Kiveton Surgery’s 33-1 win over The Toyoda Girls who battled hard throughout the match. The win sees Kiveton Surgery go top of the league at this early stage.
The final match of the night was a thriller between Flying Foxes and Women With Balls which saw Women With Balls taking victory with a narrow 14-13 win!

As all teams know its early days and there’s still a lot of netball to be played, so its all set up for an exciting first season of The Sheffield Netball League!
