Kiveton Surgery crowned as Sheffield Netball Premiership Champions – Winter/Spring 06!

Last night (13th June) saw Kiveton Surgery become the first team to be crowned with the title of Sheffield Netball Premiership Champions in a fantastic first season of the league!
Kiveton Surgery who led the league right from the first week finished the season with a 100% record of 14 wins out of 14 to win the league in emphatic style! Lead by captain Linda Holland the team completed their undefeated season with an impressive 26-11 victory over league runners up Braunettes - to make Kiveton Surgery deserved winners of the first Sheffield Netball Premiership title.

The race for the runners up spot was a close contest between Shooting Stars and Braunettes with Braunettes just edging out the unlucky Shooting Stars to take second spot thanks to an exciting 25-18 victory over their rivals in the penultimate game of the season. It was, however, a great first season for both teams who will feel they can mount a challenge for the title next season!

Fourth place went to Women With Balls who can also be pleased with a good first season in the league. Court Out leap frogged Flying Foxes to take fifth place thanks to a narrow 15-14 victory over the Foxes on the last night of the season. GQNT finished seventh with The Toyoda Girls unlucky to finish eighth but with some great recent performances they will enter the new season with confidence!
